Cyndi Dozal and Cecille Dalmacio co-founded Clover Advocates to help Californian families find the appropriate care for their special needs loved ones through each developmental milestone and made it their mission to connect families in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area with essential resources, ensuring their well-being and development.
Cyndi began her journey in special needs parent consulting and coaching in 2013 when her first child began showing developmental delays at 12 months, entered into the Regional Center early intervention program, and she began navigating services needed by her daughter between medical insurance, Regional Center and the special education system. When her second child followed the same path, Cyndi gained additional experience finding appropriate care for multiple children at different stages of development and special needs, while balancing a full-time career in business analytics and operations at multiple hyper growth private and established Fortune 50 corporations.
Leveraging her professional experience in business planning, project management and financial budgeting, Cyndi transferred those skills to planning, coordinating and financially managing the myriad of developmental therapies, disconnected providers, vague insurance requirements and complicated public services with multiple insurance carriers, regional centers and school districts.
As Cyndi’s knowledge and experience grew, Cyndi became a resource for other families by sharing her own journey, and realizing quickly the number of families who were lost or overwhelmed due to their evolving needs. Motivated to help even more families, Cyndi became a certified independent facilitator to further support Regional Center clients in their transition to SDP and provide ongoing support as their family’s needs, evidence based treatments, private services and public regulations evolve.
Cyndi has a Masters in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Shakespearan literature from University of California, Berkeley and continues to grow every day in her knowledge of special needs services and advocacy. She is looking forward to championing with families throughout the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area to connect them with the appropriate resources for their family to thrive!
Jessica has worked with the neurodivergent community since her first job in high school as a private math and science tutor for middle school to early college students with Dyslexia, Processing Delays, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She then became a Respite Caregiver and Personal Assistant in college. Her personal experience with neurodivergence, having ADHD and Dyslexia herself, and supporting numerous friends and family members who are neurodivergent has given her a deep understanding of the impact neurodivergence can have on individuals and those around them, as well as how debilitating it can be for those without the right support.
Her professional experience supporting the neurodivergent community has broadened her understanding of the services required to help people with developmental disabilities thrive. Learning about the gap in the resources for helping families navigate the complex and time-consuming landscape of transition into the Self-Determination Program (SDP), she has been a cheerleader for Clover Adovcates since its inception. Utilizing her passion for writing, interest in mental health and developmental disorders, enthusiasm for learning new skills, and commitment to helping Clover’s clients get the services they need and deserve, she became one of Clover’s Person-Centered Planners and Operations Specialist.
Jessica is a candidate for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and a Minor in Art History and is set to graduate in the fall of 2025 from California State University of Long Beach. She is currently pursuing an Art Therapist and Independent Facilitator certifications to further support Clover Advocate’s services and growing client needs.
